Owen Armentrout is a third-year journalism student at Wayne State University. Currently, he has no professional experience but is looking forward to cementing his role in the field. His major interests are politics, history, and hip-hop culture.
He hopes to help aid in putting a spotlight on the city of Detroit and its communities, whether it be through investigative pieces, concert reviews, or drawing attention to local business.
Eventually, he would like to be a freelance writer and become somewhat of a combination between a modern-day muckraker and war correspondent. Though, for the time being, graduating will suffice.
